Celebrity crush: Aubrey Dollar

In Women's Murder Club. Photographers for non-TV images
are invited to contact me at mentalnomadshow -at- gmail -dot- com
so I can properly give them credit!
Today's profile focuses on a former child actress who's spent time on stage and in daytime soaps as well as the occasional guest appearance on primetime dramas and ensemble roles in a couple of short-lived series. She's one of my more obscure crushes, but no less deserving for it.

Name: Aubrey Dollar (images | Web site | Twitter -- may be real-life-friends-only)
Hometown: Born and raised in Raleigh, N.C., according to her Wikipedia profile. She attended college at Boston University and Amherst College, her profile notes.
Best Known For: Depends on your viewing preferences. Aubrey was nominated for a Soap Opera Digest award for her work on Guiding Light. She's also recurred on Dawson's Creek and been a regular on the short-lived horror drama Point Pleasant (as a normal girl who strikes up a friendship with the blond-haired, blue-eyed female Antichrist) and Women's Murder Club (based on the best-selling series of novels by James Patterson).

the Fox horror series Point Pleasant.
She's also appeared in a few films and TV-movies here and there and made the occasional TV guest-turn, such as playing a loose-lipped nurse used to gather information by a private eye on The Good Wife.
Humble Beginnings: Among her roles as a pre-teen and teenager were the horror film Children of the Corn 2 and an episode of the creepy TV drama American Gothic.

Film roles as an adult include small parts in the romantic comedies Failure to Launch and Prime and the direct-to-video teen dance movie Save the Last Dance 2.
Why Ye Olde Podcaster Likes Her: She has a wonderfully warm on-screen persona and a smile that lights up a screen of any size. Aubrey has been in front of cameras since 1992 and is well overdue for the breakthrough role that will make her an "overnight success."
