Name: Mary Elizabeth Winstead
Hometown: Born in Rocky Mount, N.C., and raised in the Salt Lake City suburb of Sandy, Utah, according to her Wikipedia profile.
Best Known For: Winstead's best known as a junior "scream queen" for her turns in films such as Black Christmas, Death Proof, Final Destination 3 and The Ring 2. Non-horror films include Bobby, Live Free or Die Hard, and Factory Girl. More recently, she appeared as the main love interest in the comic book adaptation Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
Humble Beginnings: Early performances include dancing in The Nutcracker as a kid and appearing in Donny Osmond's run in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. She appeared in the soap opera Passions and guest-starred on Touched by an Angel and its spin-off series Promised Land before the Disney live-action superhero film Sky High brought her to wider attention.

She also guest-starred on Tru Calling and was in the short-lived series Wolf Lake.
